Dade Moeller transportation program professionals have extensive experience in transportation management, including but not limited to program development and implementation, assessments of client programs as they apply to Federal Motor Carrier (49 CFR 380 to 399) and hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR 171 to 180) and/or DOE site Transportation Safety Document requirements.
We have 49 CFR 172 Subpart H certified shippers and waste designators who assure the materials to be shipped are characterized, packaged, marked, labeled, and otherwise prepared for shipment per US Department of Transportation requirements. Our shippers and waste designators have successfully characterized and shipped exempt concentrations, low-level, mixed, and transuranic waste. We have developed procedures and plans for the compliant transport of low-level, low-level mixed and transuranic wastes at Hanford. In addition, we can evaluate different package and packaging options to provide cost-effective solutions for the transportation of radioactive materials and waste.
Through the Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy, we have developed and provide 49 CFR 172 Subpart H training programs in a classroom setting, at the client facility or Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy locations or on-line and can customize these courses to include company or site-specific requirements
