Disaster Sampling and Logistics Support
We provide critical expertise and timely resources to an environmental catastrophe being played out in the Gulf of Mexico. Under subcontract to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) contractor Industrial Economics, Incorporated (IEc), we began managing the intake process for all samples taken as a result of the British Petroleum (BP) Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Specific scope areas:
- Quality Management and Acquisition of all technical supplies and equipment necessary to support field efforts
- The Collection and Data Management of samples aboard NOAA vessels in the Gulf of Mexico.
- Conducting Sample and Data Intakes for all teams operated or support by NOAA.
- Primary and Secondary Quality Assurance reviews of all data associated with sample intake.
- Sample Management associated with coordination and shipping of samples to numerous laboratories.
Dade Moeller has successfully processed more than 60,000 samples in a multitude of matrixes since the start of the project, and provided support over the entire 1600 miles of the US Gulf Coast
